Everyday

1.  Take the Register in French or Spanish:

2.  Give an instruction in French or Spanish(see the target language tab or the relevant year group tab)

3.  Have your date chart in French or Spanish

4.  Have your weather chart in French or Spanish.

5.  Pupils ask for different coloured resources in French.  This will build on the colours they learned in P1.

6.  Learn a new French or Spanish word a day.  For example, before the register.  These could then be displayed on a chart in the classroom.

7.  Write the day of the week and date in French in jotters instead of English.  For example: Lundi, le dix novembre - Monday, 10th November.

8.  "Thank you week".  Ask pupils to identify times during the school day when they would say thank you.  Children try to say "Merci" or "Gracias" three times, in different situations (e.g in the canteen when ordering lunch) before home time for a full week.
